Shawls have always had a charm that few other accessories have... they arise from the ancient need to warm and cover the shoulders both at home and outside and have taken on growing importance over time, becoming a symbol of femininity and fashion.
There can be shawls made with various types of yarns, crocheted, knitted, tailoring... to satisfy all women and all types of outfits.
Seeing the shawl as an "old" or "grandmother's" garment is truly reductive and for the times that are truly out of date, just search the word shawl on Google to see that there is also great interest on the part of the world of fashion.
I personally love them very much, both in summer (I'm cold ;-) ) and in winter, over a coat or a down jacket...
